Fancy seeing you here!
So I woke up on Saturday morning, ready for another weekend in London, Kate and I went for a run, then I showered and headed down to the local pub with Knighter to consume some nectar from the Gods and to watch the Manchester United V Wigan game. I was on to my 4th pint, minding my own business with Knighter and Higgo when I hear a very familiar voice say "Fancy seeing you here" and when I looked and saw Carly I freaked out! I didn't know what to say, I was speechless for a good 5 mins or so, but I think I managed to mumble "What the hell" and "I can't believe this" a few times before my brain started ticking over again and I finally said "Let's get a drink!"
That set the tone for the rest of the night, we had one there, then went to the Walkabout in Putney for a couple, before going back home and proceeding to drink a bottle of JD, a bottle of Vodka, Malibu, Champagne, and anything else we could find that we had left in the house. Matt and Zara came down from Essex, and a mate of Higgos also came around, the rest is a blur to me!! Apparently we hit the town later that night, went into Piccadilly and found a pub selling £1.60 pints and 2 for 1 Apple Martinis, but that was after Carly (all class of course), tripped on a gutter and literally face planted on the road. Mind you, this is outside Piccadilly Circus, thousands of people everywhere, but as always, it didn't phase her at all. We've got some good pics of the night.
Sunday, Kate, Carly, Lauren and I went to Covent Garden, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, No 10 Downing Street, and finished at the Eye, which I hadn't been on yet.
Last night we caught up with Tommy B for 40 mins before he flew out of London for good. Tonight we'll probably watch a Champions League game at the pub, the girls have a lot planned for the days and nights we have: Wednesday we have tickets to see the Lion King, Thursday the girls are going to ladies night at The Larrick, Friday we have Matt's mate's birthday near Liverpool St, so that will be a big night and Saturday hopefully we're all going to the Port V Geelong game thanks to Lauren, and then hitting the town again one last time before the girls leave.
It's been really good having Carly here, AS WEIRD AS SHE IS, I still can't believe it by the way! Great surprise, and well done to all of you who knew and didn't give it away! Bludgers!!!!

Sorry haven't been in touch, not a lot of news of late that's probably why. I started work a few weeks ago, temping in a call centre, but last Tuesday I started a fulltime permanant role with a company called Corpex who are an Internet hosting company so things are going well. I'm trying to get a second job at the moment in a pub at nights to try and pay off my debt and save for more travels, so hopefully can get one of those soon as well.
Grand Final day here was great, had a best mate, his girlfriend and his sister come over from France to spend it with Kate and I. Started drinking at 4am, game started at 5:30am, watched it in a nearby pub that was chockers and had an unbelievable atmosphere, they also sold meat pies which are very scarce over here so that was a bonus.
Besides that haven't been doing a lot, just catching up with a few people here and there, going out for a couple of beers a couple of times a week, and watching football (soccer) at pubs on weekends. Trying not to spend too much at the moment as I have nothing to spend of my own money anyway, so being responsible about it.
I'll try to keep in touch a bit more over the next couple of months, haven't got to much planned in that time, might go to Northern Ireland, and possibly Scotland and Wales but would need to get 2 jobs soon in order to possible do so.
